Our Functional Fitness program is at the core of our vision and we believe that every human-being should be incorporating elements of this

Weightlifting

The benefits of weightlifitng go beyond the building and strengthening of muscles. It is proven to increase bone density therefore reducing the onset of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, improve posture, lower inflammation and stave of chronic disease. Weightlifting isn’t just for the youngsters in fact the older you get the benefits of weight training become even more apparent.

Weightlifting is integrated in to our program in the form of squats, deadlifts, pressing, olympic lifts and isolation exercises all coached by our expert coaches.

Bodyweight Movements

Bodyweight, calisthenics, gymnastics. All different names for the same thing. Bodyweight movements include any exercise in which you move your body through a range of motion (ROM) or extended range of motion (EROM) without an external load.

They are included in our program in the form of pull ups, push ups, rope climbs, air squats, dips and core exercises. Bodyweight movements are unrivalled in developing balance, coordination and agility whilst producing impressive strength gains.

Cardiovascular Exercise

Also described in some areas of health and fitness as mono-structural conditioning. Cardio refers to the ability of your heart, lungs and organs to consume, transport and utilise oxygen.

Exercises that we use to deliver this are running, rowing, biking and sometimes swimming.

These three modalities create a balanced program all taught and led by an experienced, qualified coach ensuring that the exercises are performed correctly and safely for maximum benefit. Interested? Sign up for our on-boarding class then move in to our functional fitness program.
